The Cincinnati Reds placed left-hander Sam Moll on the 15-day injured list on Sunday because of a left shoulder impingement.

In a corresponding move, the Reds recalled right-hander Casey Legumina from Triple-A Louisville.

Moll, on the IL for the second time this season, has been dealing with the injury since mid-June, and it worsened on Friday when he was warming up in the bullpen.

Moll took the loss on Saturday after allowing three runs on one hit, one walk and one hit batter against the three batters he faced in the sixth inning of the New York Mets’ 4-0 victory.

He is 3-2 with a 3.35 ERA, 14 walks and 38 strikeouts in 37 2/3 innings over 48 relief appearances this season.

Moll, 32, is a career 7-6 with one save, a 3.42 ERA, 74 walks and 167 strikeouts over parts of five seasons with the Oakland Athletics (2017, 2021-23) and Reds (2023-24).

Legumina, 27, has a 10.50 ERA, two walks and four strikeouts in six innings over three relief appearances for Cincinnati this season. He made his major league debut in 2023 and is a career 1-0 with a 7.23 ERA, 11 walks and 15 strikeouts in 18 2/3 innings over 14 relief appearances.
