LOL: Team Liquid remains unbeaten at LCS Summer Split

Team Liquid swept NRG 2-0 on Saturday to remain undefeated as teams continue to battle for playoff positions in the League Championship Series Summer Split.

Team Liquid won both matches on red, in 28 minutes and 23 minutes, to improve to 7-0.

Also on Saturday, 100 Thieves defeated Shopify Rebellion 2-1 to move into fourth place. After 100 Thieves took the opening match in red in 30 minutes, Shopify Rebellion evened it up with a 34-minute win on green. In the decisive third match, 100 Thieves prevailed.

Eight teams are fighting for six spots in the League of Legends Summer Split’s double-elimination playoff bracket. The top two seeds will head to the upper-bracket semifinals, with the other four seeds duking it out in the upper-bracket quarterfinals.

All group-play matches are best-of-three, while the playoff matches are best-of-five. The winner of the tournament will take home $100,000 of the $200,000 prize pool, with the top three teams qualifying for the World Championship.

Group play ends Sunday with a pair of matches.
