Alpha7 Esports ran away with the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024 title on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Alpha7 wrapped up the three-day main tournament with 153 points (including 71 placement points and 82 kill points), almost 30 more than runners-up REJECT and Tianba at 124 apiece.

The final six matches for each team took place Sunday, and Alpha7 helped their cause with 15 placement points in Round 15, 16 in Round 16 and 13 in Round 18.

Alpha7 took home more than $467,000 for first place, along with 1,000 Esports World Cup club points.

However, individual MVP honors went to REJECT’s Reiji “Reiji” Maeda of Japan. He won a $50,000 bonus with that award.

Twenty-eight teams participated in the tournament, part of the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia. The 24-team group stage saw 12 clubs advance straight to the main tournament and 12 drop into a survival stage, which also brought in four additional wild-card teams.

The four teams to advance out of the survival stage to the main tournament earlier this week were IW NRX, DRX, Tong Jia Bao Esports and Twisted Minds. DRX benefited the most from the survival stage, placing fourth overall with 111 points in the main tournament.
