No. 4 seed Magda Linette and No. 6 Magdalena Frech will meet in an all-Poland final on Friday at the Livesport Prague Open in the Czech Republic.
Linette outlasted Czech top seed Linda Noskova 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (2) in two hours, 46 minutes in Thursday’s semifinal at the WTA 250 clay-court event. Noskova survived six match points to force the third set tiebreak.
Frech was leading Laura Samson 3-6, 6-0, 4-2 when the 16-year-old Czech was forced to retire due to injury. Frech reached her maiden tour-level final after converting seven of 13 break points.

No. 1 seed Mirra Andreeva of Russia advanced to her first tour-level final by surviving a three-set thriller against Serbia’s Olga Danilovic in Iasi, Romania.
The 17-year-old Andreeva completed her 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (1) comeback in two hours, 38 minutes. Trailing 5-2 in the decisive set, Andreeva saved two match points before rallying to victory in the WTA 250 clay-court event.
No. 5 seed Elina Avanesyan of Russia crushed Chloe Paquet 6-2, 6-3 in the other semifinal, saving all five break points against the Frenchwoman. Avanesyan’s day began with the completion of a 7-5, 6-4 quarterfinal win against No. 3 seed Jaqueline Cristian of Romania.
