OpTic Texas won early and often Sunday to dispatch the New York Subliners in dominant fashion 5-1 at the Call of Duty League Championship in Allen, Texas.

The Texans nabbed the $800,000 grand prize on their home turf.

It was significant change from Saturday, when OpTic narrowly escaped New York 3-2 to win the winners bracket and advance to the grand final. The Subliners rallied to defeat Toronto Ultra to make it back to the championship.

But OpTic left little doubt in their best-of-nine rematch Sunday. Texas won 250-212 on Karachi Hardpoint and 6-5 on Karachi Search and Destroy to take an early commanding 2-0 lead.

New York rallied to win 3-1 on Karachi Control, but the comeback was short-lived.

OpTic won 250-130 on Rio Hardpoint, 6-3 on Invasion Search and Destroy and 3-2 on Invasion Control to close out the victory and the championship.
