The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-hander Joe Kelly from the 60-day injured list on Friday.

The 36-year-old reliever landed on the IL on May 5 with a right posterior shoulder strain.

Kelly made five rehab appearances, two at Class A Rancho Cucamonga and three at Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Before the injury, Kelly posted a 4.73 ERA with no decisions in 15 games out of the Dodgers’ bullpen.

He has a career record of 53-37 ERA with a 3.96 ERA in 465 games (81 starts) with four teams since 2012.

The Dodgers outrighted left-hander Jose Hernandez to make room for Kelly on the 40-man roster and he cleared waivers. They optioned right-hander Michael Petersen to Oklahoma City to clear a spot on the active roster.
