The St. Louis Blues acquired forwards Mathieu Joseph and Radek Faksa in separate trades on Tuesday.

Joseph and a third-round draft pick in 2025 came from the Ottawa Senators, while Faksa was obtained from the Dallas Stars. In each deal, the Blues will send the other team future considerations, which were not specified in the official announcement.

Joseph, a 27-year-old Quebec native, has played for the Tampa Bay Lightning (2018-19 to 2021-22) and the Senators (2021-22 to 2023-24). Last season, he logged career highs with 24 assists and 35 points. He has 55 goals and 80 assists in 360 career NHL games.

Faksa, a 30-year-old from Czechia, had spent his entire nine-year NHL career with the Stars. Last season, he finished with seven goals and 12 assists in 77 games, leaving his career totals at 89 goals and 111 assists in 638 games.

The Blues missed the playoffs for the second season in a row in 2023-24 after going 44-33-6 for 92 points.
