The start of the third round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic was delayed for multiple hours because of rain and disruptive weather Saturday in Detroit.

Play later resumed and tournament officials said it was still hoped that the third round will be completed Saturday.

The final pairing of Akshay Bhatia, Aaron Rai and Taylor Montgomery teed off around 3 p.m. ET.

American Bhatia and Rai, of England, entered play Saturday tied at 13-under 131, with Montgomery two shots back at Detroit Golf Club.

Cameron Young, Troy Merritt and South Africa’s Erik van Rooyen, like Montgomery, were 11 under after the first two rounds.

Defending champion Rickie Fowler was at 6 under following rounds of 66 and 72.
