Mikal Bridges is headed to the New York Knicks from the Nets in a pending trade that involves at least six draft picks going to Brooklyn in return, ESPN reported on Tuesday.

If the deal is approved by the NBA, Bridges would head to New York on the heels of the Knicks learning OG Anunoby opted out of his contract to enter free agency on Sunday when players can sign with new teams.

ESPN and Stadium reported the Nets agreed to the deal with compensation including Bojan Bogdanovic, four unprotected first-round picks, one protected first-round selection via Milwaukee and a second-round pick. ESPN reported there is also an unprotected pick swap in the deal.

Bridges, 27, played at Villanova and would reunite with Knicks stars Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo, all of whom played for the Wildcats when they won the 2016 national championship under coach Jay Wright.

Bridges was a first-round pick in 2018, selected 10th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers before being traded immediately to the Phoenix Suns. He spent four-plus seasons in Phoenix before being traded to the Nets in the middle of the 2022-23 season in the Kevin Durant deal.

Bridges started all 82 regular-season games for the Nets in 2023-24 and averaged 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

In 474 career NBA games (407 starts), he has averages of 14.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
