Iowa wide receiver Kaleb Brown was arrested over the weekend and charged with operating while intoxicated and possessing a fictitious driver’s license, according to multiple outlets.

Brown was arrested early Sunday morning in Iowa City. His 2023 Dodge Durango had heavy front-end damage, according to the reports, citing police records. Brown had “bloodshot watery eyes” and refused a field sobriety test, according to police.

Brown, who is 20, was also “found to be in possession of a completely fictitious” driver’s license, police said.

Brown had 22 catches for 215 yards and a touchdown in 11 games for the Hawkeyes in 2023 after transferring from Ohio State. He appeared in four games for the Buckeyes in 2022 and had one catch for five yards.

Five states use the OWI terminology when charging drivers with offenses related to drinking and driving.
