Baltimore Orioles third baseman Jordan Westburg exited Tuesday’s game against the host New York Yankees due to left hip discomfort.

In the first inning, Westburg fielded a ground ball by Giancarlo Stanton in the basepath between second and third base. New York’s Juan Soto was called for interference when he collided with Westburg.

Westburg was replaced by Ramon Urias after the Orioles batted in the second inning. In his only at-bat, Westburg opened the game by striking out against Nestor Cortes.

In his first full season with the Orioles, Westburg is hitting .277 with 11 homers and 42 RBIs in 67 games. The former first-round pick made his debut June 26 of last year and batted .260 with three homers and 23 RBIs in 68 games.
