Cecconi (2-5) allowed three hits and struck out six without issuing a walk. He had gone 0-3 with a 9.13 ERA in his previous five appearances. Last time out, he allowed seven runs on 10 hits over three-plus innings against the Los Angeles Angels on June 12.
