Real Madrid guard Egor Demin, a projected 2025 NBA Draft lottery pick, has committed to BYU for the 2024-25 season, ESPN reported Tuesday.

The 6-foot-9 Russian tallied 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead Real Madrid’s U18 squad to an 85-84 overtime win Sunday against PFBB INSEP Paris in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament title game in Madrid.

Demin, 18, originally signed with the Spanish club at age 15 in 2021.

He also drew interest from Illinois and Arkansas before committing to new Cougars coach Kevin Young, hired in April after Mark Pope departed to coach Kentucky.
