MLB: Orioles activate RHP Grayson Rodriguez to start vs. Mariners

The Baltimore Orioles activated right-hander Grayson Rodriguez from the 15-day injured list to start Saturday’s game against the visiting Seattle Mariners.

Rodriguez, 24, had been sidelined by shoulder inflammation. He last pitched for the Orioles on April 29.

He is 4-1 with a 3.71 ERA through six starts this season, striking out 37 batters in 34 innings. He has yet to face the Mariners in his career.

Baltimore’s 2018 first-round pick (11th overall) is 11-5 with a 4.21 ERA in 29 games (all starts) since making his MLB debut on April 5, 2023.

Also on Saturday, the Orioles designated right-hander Mike Baumann for assignment.

Baumann, 28, posted a 1-0 record with a 3.44 ERA in 17 relief appearances this season.

He is 13-5 with a 4.45 ERA in 94 career games (four starts) with the Orioles.
