Dallas Stars forward Roope Hintz has been ruled out of Wednesday’s Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinal series versus the visiting Colorado Avalanche due to an upper-body injury.

Radek Faksa will draw back in the lineup in place of Hintz, who was injured late in the first period on Monday after blocking a shot by Avalanche defenseman Sean Walker. Dallas went on to record a 5-1 win and seize a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Hintz, 27, has collected six points (two goals, four assists) in 11 games during the postseason. He had 65 points (30 goals, 35 assists) in 80 games during the regular season.

Faksa, 30, has one goal in four games during the playoffs. He totaled 19 points (seven goals, 12 assists) in 74 games during the regular season.
