Bilibili Gaming recorded a 3-1 win over T1 on Sunday to move to the upper-bracket final at the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2024 in Chengdu, China.
Bilibili posted a 29-minute win on blue before T1 responded with a 31-minute victory on red. Undaunted, Bilibili answered with 31-minute triumphs on both blue and red to advance to the upper-bracket final against Gen.G, who needed five maps to outlast Top Esports on Saturday.
T1 fell to the lower bracket quarterfinals and will face Team Liquid on Wednesday.
Also on Sunday, G2 Esports notched a 3-0 win over PSG Talon to advance to a lower-bracket quarterfinal matchup against Top Esports. G2 Esports eliminated PSG Talon after securing 31- and 21-minute wins on blue and a 26-minute victory on red.
The $250,000 tournament began on May 1 with 12 teams competing for a $50,000 grand prize and qualification into the 2024 World Championship. The play-in stage concluded Sunday, with the bracket stage opening Tuesday. The title match is scheduled for May 19.
