Michael “Cooks” Campbell poured in 41 points and dished out 15 assists while leading Pacers Gaming to a 93-74 rout of Pistons GT on Friday in group play at the NBA 2K League’s 5v5 The Tipoff event.
Devin “Scoreo” Lawrence and Kory “Chess” Taylor added 14 points apiece for the Pacers in a matchup of teams that began the night 1-1.
Alex “Bsmoove” Reese led the Pistons with 24 points while teammates Anthony “Ant” Costanzo (17 points, 20 assists) and Solomona “Mona” Faitaua-Nanai (18 points, 11 rebounds) each logged a double-double.
Two teams improved to 3-0 with Friday victories. Warriors Gaming Squad stayed unbeaten by downing Lakers Gaming 63-58, and T-Wolves Gaming kept their hot start going by defeating Jazz Gaming 59-49.
Knicks Gaming took their first defeat after two wins, falling 88-68 to Heat Check Gaming.
In other Friday action, Magic Gaming eased past NBL Oz Gaming 87-82, 76ers GC thrashed Gen.G Tigers 73-54, Mavs Gaming dumped DUX Infinitos 68-51, Raptors Uprising GC roared past NetsGC 78-65, Bucks Gaming nipped Grizz Gaming 70-68, and Celtics Crossover Gaming toppled the Gen.G Tigers 60-54.
