Ivan Angulo scored in stoppage time to help Orlando City earn a 2-2 draw against host CF Montreal on Saturday.

Facundo Torres also scored for Orlando (2-3-3, 9 points), which extended its unbeaten run to four matches.

Mason Toye and Ariel Lassiter tallied for Montreal (3-3-2, 11 points), which is undefeated in each of its past two matches.

It was a slow start for both sides as each struggled to generate any form of attack and shot attempts through the first 15 minutes.

In the 16th minute, though, Montreal broke through.

Samuel Piette sent a pass from midfield up the middle for Toye, who broke in alone and drew goalkeeper Pedro Gallese to the top of the box.

Gallese couldn’t stop him, and Toye took the ball down the left side before striking into the far side of the net for a 1-0 lead.

Torres converted on a penalty to pull Orlando level in the 22nd minute, firing it into the top of the net as goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois dived in the opposite direction. The Lions were awarded the penalty after Sirois fouled Luis Muriel when Sirois came off his line to try to make a save.

The sides traded chances in the second half.

In the 46th minute, Joaquin Sosa sent a cross into the box from the left side, aiming for Bryce Duke, but Orlando defender Kyle Smith headed it away.

Sirois held the visitors at bay in the 50th minute when he was first to the ball on a chance from Angulo.

Seconds later, Gallese got his left hand out to deny Lassiter’s kick from the left side.

Orlando’s Duncan McGuire tried to feed Torres in the box in the 69th minute but Sosa blocked the cross.

Lassiter put Montreal ahead 2-1 in the 88th minute. Gallese stopped Sunusi Ibrahim’s attempt from the box but couldn’t recover the rebound, and Lassiter was at the top of the goal area for the easy tally.

Angula tied it at 2 in the second minute of second-half stoppage time, connecting on Martin Ojeda’s cross toward the goal area at the far side.
