MLB: Reports: White Sox, OF Tommy Pham closing in on minor league deal

The Chicago White Sox are closing in on a deal with veteran outfielder Tommy Pham, multiple media outlets reported Sunday night.

Pham, 36, spent time with the New York Mets and Arizona Diamondbacks last season, playing in 129 games. He hit .256 with 16 home runs and 68 RBIs.

In 1,005 career games across 10 major league seasons, Pham has posted a .259 batting average with 130 homers and 431 RBIs.

Despite the nature of his contract, Pham is expected to land in the big leagues soon, according to a report by ESPN.
