The Minnesota Twins reinstated left-handed reliever Caleb Thielbar from the 15-day injured list on Sunday.

Thielbar started the season on the IL due to a left hamstring strain. He made two rehab appearances at Triple-A St. Paul, giving up one run on two hits in three innings with one walk and five strikeouts.

The 37-year-old has spent his entire career with the Twins (2013-15, 2020-23). He has a record of 21-8 with a 3.04 ERA and a save in 288 games. Last season, he was 3-1 with a 3.23 ERA in 30 2/3 innings over 36 games.

In a corresponding move, the Twins sent right-handed reliever Jorge Alcala, 28, to St. Paul. He has appeared in six games for the Twins, going 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 8 1/3 innings. He’s allowed three hits and three walks with nine strikeouts.
