Arkansas standout guard Khalif Battle entered the transfer portal after the departure of coach Eric Musselman to Southern California, according to multiple reports.
Battle was a late-season star for the Razorbacks and finished the season with seven straight outings of 20 or more points. He had outings of 42, 36 and 34 while averaging 29.6 points during the stretch.
The scoring spree allowed him to finish the season with a 14.8 average in 32 games (13 starts).
This past season was Battle’s first campaign at Arkansas after spending his first college season at Butler and the next three at Temple. He has a 13.3 career scoring average and has made 182 3-pointers in 101 career games (32 starts).
The Razorbacks are in the midst of a player exodus. According to the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette, the only players with eligibility remaining from the 2023-24 team who haven’t entered the portal are guard Tramon Mark (team-leading 16.2 points per game) and forward Trevon Brazile (8.6 ppg).
Among the players who have entered the portal are guards Keyon Menifield, Joseph Pinion, Davonte Davis and Layden Blocker and forward Baye Fall.
Pinion transferred to Arkansas State.
