Two-time MVP Stephen Curry, who has missed the Golden State Warriors’ past two games with a right ankle injury, has been cleared to resume on-court workouts but still has no specific date set for his return.

Curry left Thursday’s 125-122 home loss to the Chicago Bulls with the injury and tests Friday showed no serious injury. Late in Thursday’s game, Curry planted his right foot on a drive to the basket and rolled his ankle.

“It sucks, but everybody deals with injuries,” Warriors forward Draymond Green said. “You’ve just got to do the best you can in dealing with it.”

Curry is not expected to be with the team for Wednesday’s road game against the Dallas Mavericks. The 10-time All-Star is scheduled to rejoin his teammates at Los Angeles in advance of a game Saturday against the Lakers as he continues workouts.

The team is expected to re-evaluate Curry after the team’s practice in Southern California on Friday.

Curry, who turns 36 next week, is averaging 26.9 points, 4.9 assists and 4.4 rebounds in 59 starts this season. He is shooting 40.7 percent from 3-point range and leads the NBA with 290 made 3-pointers.
