Nazem Kadri scored the overtime winner to give the host Calgary Flames a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Eastern Conference-leading Boston Bruins on Thursday.

Oliver Kylington and Martin Pospisil also scored for the Flames, who won their second consecutive outing. Goaltender Jacob Markstrom made 31 saves, three in overtime – including a great stop on David Pastrnak seconds before the winner.

Sprung on a three-on-one rush, Kadri wisely elected to shoot, and hit the mark at 3:56 of the extra period for his sixth career overtime winner and 20th goal of the season.

Markstrom, who delivered a plethora of second-period saves to keep his team in the game, collected the 211th victory of his career, moving him ahead of Tommy Salo for second place among Swedish-born goalies. Henrik Lundqvist tops the list at 459.

The Flames won both meetings of the season against Boston.

Charlie Coyle scored both goals for the Bruins, who twice erased a deficit but could not gain a lead. Goalie Linus Ullmark delivered a strong 27-save performance of his own.

Kylington’s second goal of the season, and second in as many games, opened the scoring at the 12:55 mark. The slick-skating defenseman joined a rush, was fed a cross-ice pass and snapped a shot from the top of the left circle.

Coyle evened the count with a fortunate goal. Markstrom attempted to clear the puck but did not get enough of it and Coyle was the beneficiary of a golden opportunity to bury with 1:19 remaining in the period.

However, Pospisil restored the Calgary lead when he tapped home a loose puck with 36.2 seconds remaining in the opening frame to net his fifth of the campaign.

Coyle tied the game a second time 2:33 into the third period by depositing a back-handed deke on a breakaway chance for his 20th of the season.
