The New York Yankees acquired left-handed reliever Caleb Ferguson from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday in exchange for two pitching prospects.

Ferguson, 27, was 7-4 with three saves and a 3.43 ERA in 68 appearances (seven starts) for the Dodgers in 2023. He struck out 70 batters and walked 23 in 60 1/3 innings.

He is 18-9 with five saves and a 3.43 ERA in 201 career games (14 starts) since making his debut with Los Angeles in 2018. He missed the 2021 season following Tommy John surgery.

The Yankees sent left-hander Matt Gage and right-hander Christian Zazueta Jr. to Los Angeles to complete the deal.

Gage, 30, is 0-1 with a 1.83 ERA in 16 career relief appearances for the Toronto Blue Jays (2022) and Houston Astros (2023).

Zazueta, 19, went 3-5 with a 4.54 ERA in 20 starts across the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the Yankees’ Dominican summer league squad.
