Jaemyn Brakefield scored 28 points, Matthew Murrell had 23 and Ole Miss rolled past Florida 103-85 on Wednesday night in Oxford, Miss.

Allen Flanigan added 17 points, Jaylen Murray scored 12 and the Rebels (14-1, 1-1 SEC) had a strong comeback from their first loss of the season — a 90-64 rout at the hands of No. 5 Tennessee last Saturday, which knocked Ole Miss out of the Top 25.

The Rebels remained undefeated at home as they outscored the Gators (10-5, 0-2) 24-8 in points off turnovers and 21-5 on fastbreak points.

Walter Clayton Jr. had 23 points, Zyon Pullin scored 18, Alex Condon added 15 rebounds and 11 points and Tyrese Samuel scored 11 to lead Florida, which was outshot 59.1 percent to 41.3 percent from the floor, 40 percent to 29.4 percent on 3-pointers and 85 percent to 69.2 percent on free throws.

The Rebels started the second half with a 6-2 run that pushed their 44-40 halftime lead to eight points.

The Gators twice trimmed the lead to five points before Brakefield converted a three-point play and made a 3-pointer to produce a 58-47 lead.

Clayton answered with a 3-pointer, but Ole Miss scored the next seven points to expand the lead to 15 points.

Pullin made two free throws before the Rebels made another 7-0 run to increase the lead to 72-52 with 12:18 remaining.

The score was tied three times before consecutive 3-pointers by Clayton gave the Gators a 17-12 lead.

Murrell answered with a layup that started an 11-1 run that gave the Rebels a 23-18 lead.

Micah Handlogten’s layup produced Florida’s first field goal in over five minutes, but Murray made two 3-pointers in 30 seconds and Ole Miss opened a nine-point lead.

The Gators trimmed the lead to two points before the Rebels took a 44-40 lead into halftime.
