Devin Sanchez, a five-star cornerback from Houston in the Class of 2025, verbally committed to Ohio State on Saturday.

Sanchez made the announcement during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, saying he will enroll early at Ohio State in January 2025.

He is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 6 player and No. 2 cornerback in the country, and No. 2 player in Texas for the Class of 2025. ESPN has him as a four-star recruit ranked No. 10 among juniors in the nation and the second cornerback.

Sanchez, listed at 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds, chose the Buckeyes over other finalists Texas A&M, Alabama and LSU.

As a junior last season, he helped lead North Shore High School (15-1) in Houston to the Class 6A Division I state championship game, where the Mustangs lost to Duncanville High. He recorded 32 tackles (11 solo) with 11 passes defended and five interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown.
