Delaware will join Conference USA in all sports for the 2025-26 season, multiple outlets reported Monday.

The Fightin’ Blue Hens will make the jump from FCS to FBS in football and will leave the Coastal Athletic Association.

A formal announcement is expected this week, per the reports.

U.S. President Joe Biden’s alma mater has been in the CAA for basketball since 2001-02. The men’s basketball team is off to a 5-1 start this season.

The Delaware football team joined the CAA in 2005. The Blue Hens (9-3, 6-2) will play Montana in the second round of the FCS playoffs on Saturday.

Based in Newark, Del., the university has 21 varsity athletic teams.
