Oakland Athletics skipper Mark Kotsay is “in the mix” for the New York Mets’ managerial vacancy, SNY reported.

Kotsay, 47, has compiled a 110-214 record in two seasons with the A’s, including a 50-112 mark in 2023.

Former Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell still is considered the favorite to replace Buck Showalter, who was fired on Oct. 1 after the high-spending Mets limped to a 75-87 record this season.

The Mets also have reportedly interviewed New York Yankees bench coach Carlos Mendoza twice.

Kotsay played 17 seasons with seven MLB teams from 1997 to 2013. He coached with the San Diego Padres (2015) and Oakland (2016-21) before becoming a first-time manager with the A’s.
