The Los Angeles Rams will be without leading running back Kyren Williams when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, according to ESPN.

Both Williams and backup running back Ronnie Rivers underwent MRIs on Monday. Williams’ exam revealed an ankle sprain that is not considered a long-term injury, while Rivers is believed to have a strained PCL that will sideline him for a few weeks, NFL Network reported.

Williams suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of Los Angeles’ 26-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Williams rushed for 158 yards against the Cardinals, the most by a Rams RB since December 2020. Zach Evans filled in when Williams went down, rushing four times for 10 yards.

Williams, 23, has 456 yards rushing and six touchdowns in six games (five starts) this season. He has 13 receptions for 105 yards and one score.

Rivers left the game in the third quarter after rushing for 9 yards on three carries.

Rivers, 24, has rushed for 57 yards and has four catches for 18 yards in six games this season.
