Five-star defensive lineman Aydin Breland will play college football at Oregon, he announced Saturday.

Breland chose the Ducks over Miami and Georgia. 247Sports ranks Breland as the No. 4 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 11 player nationally in the 2024 class.

Also ranked the No. 1 player in California, Breland is the first top-ranked player from the state to commit to Oregon since Kayvon Thibodeaux in the class of 2019.

Breland was one of just three uncommitted five-star prospects remaining in the class, per 247Sports.

Breland plays at Southern California powerhouse Mater Dei High School. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Breland was one of 76 players with at least one FBS offer to play Friday night when St. John Bosco, the nation’s No. 9 high school team, upset No. 1 Mater Dei 28-0 in Bellflower, Calif.
