The Chicago White Sox dismissed first base coach Daryl Boston and hitting coach Jose Castro on Friday.

The team said bullpen coach Curt Hasler and assistant hitting coach Chris Johnson are being reassigned.

The White Sox finished 61-101 under first-year manager Pedro Grifol in 2023.

Chicago finished 25th in the majors in team batting average (.238) and tied for 20th in home runs (171).

Boston, 60, joined the White Sox coaching staff in 2013. He also played for Chicago from 1984-90.

Castro, 65, was hired as the team’s hitting coach last November.
