NFL: Report: Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) out 2-3 weeks

Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth will miss two to three weeks with a hamstring injury, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Monday night.

Freiermuth sustained the injury with 6:53 left in the third quarter of the Steelers’ 30-6 loss to the host Houston Texans on Sunday. He did not return to the contest.

He ended the contest with three catches for 7 yards.

Freiermuth, 24, has eight receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns in four games this season, his third with Pittsburgh. In 36 career NFL games (21 starts), he has 131 catches for 1,282 yards and 11 scores.

The Steelers fell to 2-2 with the Sunday loss.
