MLB: Brewers activate LHP Wade Miley (elbow) from IL

The Milwaukee Brewers officially activated left-hander Wade Miley on Wednesday in advance of his start against the Washington Nationals, while shortstop Owen Miller was optioned to Triple-A Nashville.

Miley is 6-2 with a 3.06 ERA this season in 13 starts. The 36-year-old has been sidelined since July 10 due to bone chips in his pitching elbow. His recovery included receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection.

In 13 seasons with eight teams, Miley is 105-96 in 305 career appearances (298 starts) and has a 4.08 ERA. He is in his second stint with the Brewers after also pitching for them in 2018.

Miller, 26, was batting .264 with five home runs and 27 RBIs in 86 games for the Brewers this season. A member of the Cleveland Guardians the previous two seasons, Miller is a career .241 hitter with 15 home runs and 96 RBIs in 276 career games.
