NWSL: Courage sign 17-year-old U.S. midfielder Riley Jackson

The North Carolina Courage announced the signing of U.S. youth national team star Riley Jackson on Friday.

The 17-year-old midfielder is signed through the 2025 NWSL season with an option for 2026.

Jackson, who participated in training sessions with the club the past two years, will forgo her NCAA eligibility.

Jackson was co-captain for the U.S. team at the 2022 U-17 World Cup.

She was the Gatorade national prep Player of the Year for 2021-22 after tallying 14 goals and 18 assists at Blessed Trinity in Roswell, Ga.
