No. 1 seed Carlos Alcaraz of Spain cruised into the quarterfinals with a 6-2, 6-3 win Thursday against Jiri Lehecka of the Czech Republic at the Cinch Championships in London.
The victory on the Queen’s Court grass in one hour and 25 minutes set up a clash with Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov, a 6-3, 7-5 winner against No. 8 seed Francisco Cerundolo of Argentina.
Unseeded Frenchman Adrian Mannarino upset No. 3 Taylor Fritz 6-4, 7-6 (7) to set up a quarterfinal meeting with No. 7 Alex De Minaur of Australia. De Minaur took out Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman 6-2, 6-2 in 66 minutes.

No. 4 seed Jannik Sinner outlasted fellow Italian Lorenzo Sonego 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-4 to reach the quarterfinals in Halle, Germany.
Sinner saved all eight break points he faced and finished with 32 winners (10 aces) and 10 unforced errors. Up next is unseeded Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan, who held off Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-3.
No. 3 seed Andrey Rublev of Russia eliminated Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann 7-6 (6), 6-3. His next opponent will be Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, who knocked off defending champion and No. 6 seed Hubert Hurkacz of Poland 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (8).
