Team Vitality added Shahar “flameZ” Shushan to their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster Thursday.

The 20-year-old Israeli rifler, previously with OG and Endpoint, replaces five-time Major winner Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen.

Vitality called the roster shakeup a “crossroads of nostalgia and excitement” in Thursday’s news release.

“We want to express our deepest gratitude to Peter for his immense contribution to our club,” the French esports organization said. “His legendary plays, his unyielding spirit, his human touch, and his commitment to the team will always be remembered fondly.”

A member of the Vitality roster since January 2022, dupreeh helped the team capture the $500,000 first prize at the BLAST.tv Paris Major in May. The 30-year-old Danish rifler previously starred for Astralis from 2016-21.

In a statement released by Vitality, dupreeh said he is not quite ready to retire.

“I don’t feel we had come to the end of the road with the current team, but I respect Vitality’s decision and wish them all the best,” he said. “I still feel I am on the top of my game and will spend my holidays on exploring what the next chapter in my life should be.”

In addition to flameZ, the Vitality roster includes Dan “apex” Madesclaire and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut of France, Emil “Magisk” Reif of Denmark and Lotan “Spinx” Giladi of Israel. Danny “zonic” Sorensen of Denmark is the coach.
