Former double champion Henry Cejudo will spar with contender Marlon Vera at UFC 292 on Aug. 19 in Boston, ESPN and MMA Junkie reported.

The Cejudo-Vera bantamweight fight will join a card that already features a title fight between champion Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley in the same weight class.

Cejudo (16-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) lost a split decision to Sterling last month at UFC 288 after ending a three-year retirement.

The 36-year-old Los Angeles native had won six straight fights before retiring after May 2020. He has held the UFC bantamweight and flyweight belts.

Vera (22-8-1 MMA, 14-7 UFC) also is coming off a loss that ended a stellar winning streak. The 30-year-old from Ecuador lost a split decision to Cory Sandhagen at UFC on ESPN 43 in March.

Vera had won four straight fights before that.

The UFC 292 card also features a fight for the women’s strawweight title between defending champion Zhang Weili of China and challenger Amanda Lemos of Brazil. The fights will be held at TD Garden, home of the NBA’s Boston Celtics and NHL’s Boston Bruins.
