NBAGL: Jim Moran named first coach of Portland’s G League team

The Portland Trail Blazers named Jim Moran the first head coach of their new G League affiliate on Thursday.

Moran, 44, spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons.

He began his NBA coaching career as an assistant with the Trail Blazers from 2015-21.

Moran played professionally for Spain’s CB Gran Canaria from 2001-11 after playing collegiately at William & Mary.
