Warriors Gaming Squad and 76ers GC cruised to sweeps on Friday in the conference quarterfinals of the NBA 2K League’s 5v5 The Tipoff event.

The Warriors downed DUX Infinitos 2-0 to reach the Western Conference semifinals, prevailing 80-47 and 76-61.

Kenneth “Kenny Got Work” Hailey paced the Warriors with an average of 21 points per game, while teammate Charlie “CB13” Bostwick contributed 18.5 points and seven assists per contest. Zach “Vandi” Vandivier averaged 15 points and 6.5 assists for DUX.

Next up for the Warriors is a matchup against the winner of the Friday match between Grizz Gaming and Pacers Gaming.

The 76ers toppled the Celtics 2-0 in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals, winning 68-59 and 74-54. Enrique “630” Xavier Barraza put up 26.5 points and eight assists per game for the 76ers, while Andre “Dre” Marshall added 17.5 points and 6.6 assists per game. Leche “Leche” Jamous averaged 20 points and 6.5 assists for the Celtics.

Magic Gaming and Heat Check Gaming will play the last Eastern Conference quarterfinal on Friday, with the winner moving on to oppose the 76ers.

The NBA 2K League 5v5 season will include three tournaments — The Tipoff, The Turn and The Ticket — that will set the field for the playoffs, scheduled for Aug. 2-5 in Washington.

Remote group play in The Tipoff set the field for this week’s remote bracket play. The tournament will conclude with in-person tournament play at District E in Washington, Wednesday through June 17.
