Noah Thomasson, the leading scorer in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in 2022-23, announced Tuesday he is transferring from Niagara to Georgia.

He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Thomasson, a 6-foot-3 guard, averaged 19.5 points over 31 games last season. His 38.6 percent from 3-point range was seventh in the MAAC.

He played just two seasons at Niagara, averaging 15.2 points, 3.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 61 games (60 starts). He started his college career at Houston Baptist, then transferred to Butler Community College.

Georgia finished 16-16 (6-12 Southeastern Conference) in head coach Mike White’s first year last season.
