LOL: Bilibili Gaming, G2 advance to MSI bracket stage

Bilibili Gaming and G2 Esports advanced to the bracket stage of the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational on Thursday.

Both teams qualified by winning their upper-bracket Round 2 play-in matches at Copper Box Arena in London.

Bilibili Gaming earned a 2-1 win over Golden Guardians. Bilibili sandwiched 29- and 30-minute wins on blue around GG’s 40-minute victory on red.

G2 Esports swept PSG Talon, winning in 40 minutes on blue and in 27 minutes on red.

Golden Guardians and PSG Talon dropped into Round 2 of the lower bracket, where one more ticket to the bracket stage is at stake.

The $250,000 Mid-Season Invitational’s bracket stage runs from May 9-21 with a top prize of $50,000.

Play-in action continues Friday with two matches in Round 1 of the lower bracket:
