Minnesota Twins right-hander Bailey Ober was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul to start Sunday’s game against the visiting Washington Nationals in Minneapolis.

Ober, 27, has a 5-6 record and a 3.82 ERA in 31 starts at the major league level but has not started against Washington.

He’s 2-1 with a 2.55 ERA in four starts with St. Paul this season. He pitched 11 straight scoreless innings over his past two starts.

In a corresponding move, the Twins optioned right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson to St. Paul.

Woods Richardson, 22, was recalled from the Saints on Friday and made a relief appearance on Saturday. He allowed five runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings of a no-decision versus the Nationals.
