The Minnesota Rokkr pulled off a reverse sweep to stun the Seattle Surge 3-2 on Friday and advance in the lower bracket of the Call of Duty League’s Major IV.

The come-from-behind win was the second of the day for Minnesota, which knocked out the London Royal Ravens 3-0 earlier on Friday. Seattle posted a 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Guerrillas in its first lower-bracket match on Friday.

The day’s other two matches were opening-round, lower-bracket action. The Toronto Ultra ousted the Boston Breach 3-1, and the Florida Mutineers edged the Vegas Legion 3-2.

The $500,000 event continues through Sunday, with the champion set to earn $200,000 and 65 Call of Duty League points and the runner-up due to receive $120,000 and 50 CDL points.

Scotland’s Cameron “Cammy” McKilligan led the Rokkr with 83 kills and a 1.00 kill-death ratio. Australia’s Amer “Pred” Zulbeari logged 102 kills and a 1.29 K-D ratio for the Surge.

Minnesota routed London 250-185 on Zarqwa Hydroelectric Hardpoint, 6-4 on Breenbergh Hotel Search and Destroy and 3-0 on Himmelmatt Expo Control.

The Surge led the Guerrillas after taking Zarqwa Hydroelectric Hardpoint 250-209 before Los Angeles won Al Bagra Fortress Search and Destroy 6-4. Following Seattle’s 3-2 victory on El Asilo Control, the Guerrillas pulled even by taking Embassy Hardpoint 250-194. On the decisive fifth map, Embassy Search and Destroy, Seattle prevailed 6-4.

Florida took Mercado Las Almas Hardpoint 250-206, but Vegas responded by capturing Breenbergh Hotel Search and Destroy 6-4. After the Mutineers’ 3-0 win on Breenbergh Hotel Control, the Legion leveled the match again by winning Al Bagra Fortress Hardpoint 250-194. The tight final map, Al Bagra Fortress Search and Destroy, went to Florida 6-5.
