Caleb Grill, who was dismissed by Iowa State’s basketball program late in the season, has committed to Missouri for the upcoming season.

Grill made the announcement on Twitter, posting “M-I-Z committed.”

Grill was averaging 9.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in 25 games (22 starts) for the Cyclones this past season before being dismissed on March 1 for “failing to meet the program’s expectations.” He led the team with 36.8 percent shooting from behind the 3-point line.

Grill said he picked Missouri over West Virginia, Mississippi State and Arkansas, among others.

“Dennis Gates is a tremendous leader and with the staff, support staff and players he has built around him has made it an elite program,” Grill told On3 Sports. “I am very excited to get to play in front of the Missouri fan base and represent the state of Missouri.”

Grill, a native of Kansas, averages 6.6 points per game in 116 career games (51 starts) for the Cyclones and UNLV.
