Forward Ugonna Onyenso is transferring from Kentucky, ESPN reported Wednesday.

The news comes as Stadium reported that Kentucky staff members would be meeting via Zoom with center Hunter Dickinson, a 2021 consensus second-team All-American at Michigan, about a potential transfer.

Onyenso, a native of Nigeria, was ranked by the 247Sports composite as the No. 9 center and No. 36 overall player in the 2022 class. He reclassified from the 2023 class.

He played his senior high school season at Putnam Science Academy in Connecticut after two years at NBA Academy Africa.

With the Wildcats, the 6-foot-11, 225-pound Onyenso appeared in 16 games and averaged 2.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocked shot per game.
