Team Liquid’s Samuel “Boxi” Svahn departed the Dota 2 Lima Major on Saturday due to a medical emergency.

Mathis “Jabbz” Friesel will fill in for Boxi on Saturday in the upper bracket finals against Gaimin Gladiators.

“I hope that the community understands that Boxis health is most important to us, and to not speculate and simply send him love and support,” coach William “Blitz” Lee posted on Twitter.

Blitz said Boxi would be “flying home immediately.”

A 24-year-old from Sweden, Boxi has been with Team Liquid since October 2019 following stints with Alliance and Evil Corporation.
