Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, the inaugural Fortnite World Cup solo champion, signed with Dignitas on Monday.

Bugha, 20, will compete and stream with Dignitas after leaving his previous organization, Sentinels, which is leaving competitive Fortnite.

“I’m honored to be joining Dignitas and can’t wait to get started,” Bugha said in a press release. “I’m excited to represent one of the best teams in esports who believes in me and in the future of Fortnite. I’m looking forward to competing with my new teammates, winning championships, and making a positive impact on the gaming industry together.”

Bugha won the Fortnite World Cup in 2019 and took home a $3 million prize. The competition has not been held since, but Bugha has also won three Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) titles since then.

The native of Pottsgrove, Pa., is joining an esports organization owned by Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, which also counts the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and NHL’s New Jersey Devils among its properties.
