LeBron James’ sore left ankle will keep him from playing in Saturday night’s nationally televised game against the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco.

This will be the second straight game James has missed since setting the record for most points in NBA history. He sat out the Lakers’ 115-106 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.

James matched his age with 38 points in Tuesday’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder to move past Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387 points) for the No. 1 spot on the career scoring list. James has 38,390 points.

The 19-time All-Star is averaging 30.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists in 44 games this season.

Warriors star Stephen Curry also is out with a lower left leg injury that will be re-evaluated after the All-Star break.
