CSGO: FaZe Clan reach BLAST Spring Group B grand final

FaZe Clan defeated OG 2-1 to advance to the Group B grand final on Sunday at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups event in Copenhagen, Denmark.

FaZe Clan opened with a 16-7 win on Mirage. After OG leveled the match with a 16-11 victory on Ancient, FaZe Clan breezed to a 16-4 decision on Inferno to take the match.

Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken of Canada recorded a team-high 66 kills and a plus-28 kills-deaths differential to lead FaZe Clan.

OG dropped into the lower bracket final, where they will try to beat Team Liquid on Tuesday to get another shot at FaZe Clan. The Group B grand final is scheduled for Thursday.

Team Liquid stayed alive and moved into the lower bracket final Sunday with a sweep against Complexity Gaming, winning 16-2 on Anubis and 16-12 on Overpass.

Keith “NAF” Markovic of Canada set the pace for Team Liquid with 43 kills and a plus-18 kills-deaths differential.

A prize pool of $177,498 will be distributed to the 12 participants in the Spring event, with $27,500 going to the top three finishers along with qualification for the Spring Final later this season.

Action continues Monday in Group C with G2 Esports and Natus Vincere meeting in the upper bracket final and BIG and Ninjas in Pyjamas clashing in a lower bracket semifinal.
