CALLOFDUTY: Guerrillas, FaZe climb standings in CDL Major II qualifying

The Los Angeles Guerrillas and Atlanta FaZe posted wins Sunday to move into the top half of the standings in Call of Duty League Major II qualifying.

The London Royal Ravens also won, their first in the qualifier.

Major II, which will include all 12 Call of Duty League teams, is scheduled to be played in Boston from Feb. 2-5. Qualifying for the event continues through Jan. 29.

The Guerrillas (2-1) got ahead of the Minnesota Rokkr (2-2) early and won the match in four maps. Los Angeles began with consecutive wins on Zarqwa Hydroelectric Hardpoint 250-163 and Al Bagra Fortress Search & Destroy 6-4.

The Rokkr eked out a 3-2 win on Breenbergh Hotel Control, but the Guerrillas clinched with a 250-158 win on Al Bagra Fortress Hardpoint.

The FaZe (2-1) went the distance before subduing the New York Subliners (2-1) in a back-and-forth match. The Subliners opened with a 250-150 win on Breenbergh Hotel Hardpoint, but Atlanta responded with wins on Al Bagra Fortress Search & Destroy 6-4 and Breenbergh Hotel Control 3-2.

New York squared the match with a 250-96 victory on Zarqwa Hydroelectric Hardpoint, but the FaZe took the deciding map, Embassy Search & Destroy, 6-4.

The Royal Ravens (1-3) defeated the Las Vegas Legion (1-3) in four maps after the teams traded victories on the first two. London opened with a 250-202 win on Mercado Las Almas Hardpoint, but the Legion countered 6-2 on Mercado Las Almas Search & Destroy.

The Royals Ravens took over from there, winning 3-1 on Breenbergh Hotel Control and 250-200 on Zarqwa Hydroelectric Hardpoint.

Action resumes Friday when Week 3 begins with three matches:
–Florida Mutineers vs. London Royal Ravens
–Las Vegas Legion vs. New York Subliners
–Atlanta FaZe vs. Los Angeles Guerrillas
